Neonatal care at Northpark Private Hospital includes:
1. Paediatrician attendance at birth anticipating or requiring emergency neonatal resuscitation
2. Paediatrician attendance at birth via elective caesarean section
3. Medical assessment soon after birth and during stay as "boarder baby"
4. Discharge newborn checks
5. Medical care for sick and preterm babies born at any hospital in the first few weeks and months of life. These babies may be premature, of low birth weight, or have congenital or other conditions. This care includes feeding, attachment and infant mental health
6. Multiple birth attendance
7. Paediatrician oversight of feeding, attachment, sleeping and settling the Northpark Private Hospital Early Parenting Unit
Atopic conditions are some of the most common paediatric conditions that have a significant impact on families and can require specialist input. We provide assessment, action plans and review.
We provide health and medical evaluation of children with suspected developmental delay. We liaise with schools across Melbourne to implement remedial educational and behaviour management programs.
We provide early child health and development diagnosis by helping coordinate and contribute to autism assessments, and ongoing care. We support a holistic and strengths based health and medical approach.
We conduct assessments of children with learning difficulties and provide ongoing health and medical care. We liaise with schools across Melbourne to implement remedial child health and development educational and behaviour management programs.
We provide health and medical care for young people with a variety of concerns including eating disorders, mental health conditions and issues associated with puberty.
Full payment is required on the day for all consultations. A Medicare rebate is applicable with a valid referral. Most GP referrals are valid from 12 months from the first appointment. After this a new referral is required. If Dr Doube attended your baby's birth, your obstetrician's referral is valid for 3 months.
